The DLG seal is awarded by the DLG (Deutsche Landwirtschafts-Gesellschaft), which is a German agricultural society. The DLG seal is awarded to products that have been tested and certified by the DLG for their quality, taste, and other relevant criteria. This seal is a recognized symbol of quality and is trusted by consumers and industry professionals alike. **

It is possible for sausages to contain glutamate and still be awarded by the DLG because glutamate is a naturally occurring compound found in many foods, including meat. The DLG awards are based on a variety of factors such as taste, texture, and overall quality, and the presence of glutamate alone does not necessarily disqualify a sausage from receiving an award. Additionally, the amount of glutamate present in sausages is typically within safe and acceptable levels for consumption, so it does not automatically disqualify a product from receiving an award. **
